Search Engine Optimization

Adding keywords and descriptions to your site content is insufficient to boost your site ranking on Google and other search engines. Search engine optimization is part science, part art: one must know the technical specifications of SEO, but also be sensitive to the nuances involved in using complementary SEO techniques which, in the hands of the experienced developer, can render your site superior by orders of magnitude to that of your competitor.

  • Search engines prefer what are known in the development business as "clean urls," i.e., an internet address without any complex of difficult-to-understand code (in the form of question marks and long strings of letters and numbers, for example) in the address bar. We employ a tool that automatically and seamlessly generates a unique and easy-to-remember name for each page (for example: "yoursitename.com/services").
  • Duplicate URLs are to be avoided at all costs; Google detects these and may ban the site from its index as a result. Our CMS can create a unique name for each page.
  • Google analytics is integrated into the CMS so that site administrators may quickly and efficiently obtain a snapshot of user demographics and related statistical data without having to leave the site.
  • Page titles (the text that appears in the upper bar of your web browser when you navigate to a given page on any web site) can be customized by the user. Search engines pay close attention to this information.
